Hough joins Sweet 16 football poll for first time ever

In the school’s first two seasons, Hough High’s football team won six games.

This season, their third, the Huskies have already won four.

Friday’s 33-30 upset of Vance knocked the Cougars out of the Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 poll and gave Hough its fourth straight win.

Monday, the Huskies jumped into the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history. Hough is in at No. 16.
Statesville jumped up three spots to No. 11 after upsetting West Rowan Friday. West Rowan fell from No. 5 to a tie with Statesville at No. 11.
