(Sept. 23, 2012) - The Woodgrove High School football team continued its hot start under first-year coach Mike Skinner with a 40-0 win over Dominion Friday night. Josh Sweet paced the Wolverines (3-0 in Dulles District, 5-0 overall) with 192 yards rushing on 34 carries and three touchdowns and Tucker Coil threw for 160 yards on 11 of 17 passing with three touchdowns.
Dominion falls to 1-2, 1-3 on the season.
Woodgrove's run to open the season has come against five opponents with a combined record of 3-21 but the Wolverines have done almost everything right, averaging a whopping 51.6 points per game while allowing just 28 total points (5.6 average).
The Wolverines next five opponents (Loudoun County, Briar Woods, Heritage, Tuscarora, Loudoun Valley) have a combined record of 13-9.
