Redskins and Commonwealth Orthopaedics doctors, Dr. Christopher Annunziata and Dr. Andrew Parker, kicked off the event by welcoming the sixth- and seventh-grade students to the Redskins new indoor training facility
.

They discussed the importance of warming up and stretching, in addition to different types of sports injuries – specifically sports overuse injuries.

During the Redskins Play 60 Mini-Combine, students participated in five stations – nutrition and hydration, concussions, strength and agility, stretching and an obstacle course.

Stations were led by a mixture of Commonwealth physical therapists, doctors, Safe Kids staff and Redskins players.

After completing the combine, students received a free health and wellness bag full of items such as sunscreen, lip balm, first aid kits, NFL Play 60 eye black, an autographed Redskins photo and more.
