Catholic leads south Charlotte teams at Hare and Hounds cross country meet

The Charlotte Catholic boys' and girls' cross country teams led south Charlotte teams at the second Hare and Hounds Cross Country Invitational Saturday at McAlpine Creek Park.

The Charlotte Catholic girls' team finished second to Ronald Reagan High and was led by fourth place finish from Margot Corcoran (19 minutes, 13 seconds) and a 10th place finish by Phylissa Greeley (20:00).

The girls team from host school Charlotte Country Day finished 10th. Metrolina Christian girls finished 13th.

The Cougar boys finished fourth behind Asheville School, Ronald Reagan and Marvin Ridge at the meet. Catholic was led by a 10th place finish by Evan Georges (16:41).

Kendon Corbett (16:47) finished 11th to lead Marvin Ridge.

Metrolina Christian boys finished seventh in the race, Charlotte Country Day finished 11th and Sun Valley finished 17th.
