Each week, South Charlotte News prep sports writer Corey Inscoe breaks down the biggest south Charlotte football games and gives predictions for every area contest.

Last week: 3-0
Overall: 76-18

A.L. Brown at Charlotte Catholic: Oh, boy. This is going to be fun. A.L. Brown and Catholic have met in the  state playoffs seven of the last eight years. Charlotte Catholic has won the last two meetings. Brown hasn't beating Catholic in the playoffs since 2008. Two of the area's best running backs -- Catholic's Elijah Hood and Brown's Kalif Phillips -- face off. You'd better get there early because both fan bases will be ready to go. My pick: Charlotte Catholic.

East Forsyth at Butler, Memorial Stadium: Two undefeated teams meet at Memorial Stadium when East Forsyth comes to play Butler. I think after losing to Page in last year's semifinals, the Bulldogs will be focused when they play East Forsyth. This will likely be the toughest team the Bulldogs have played in a while, if not all year. My pick: Butler.

Union County Bonus Pick!!

Sun Valley at Porter Ridge: I don't normally pick Union County games, but with just two south Charlotte teams left I decided to throw in a third game. This will shut down Union County, another one where you will want to arrive early. Porter Ridge won 16-0 last time the two teams played. My pick: Porter Ridge.
