Chase Ferguson, QB, Providence Day: Saw this one in person and was very impressed by Ferguson's 13-for-16 performance with 235 yards and four touchdowns. Made some really nice long throws late in the game to put it away.

Ross Jeffries, QB, Myers Park: Favorite quote from last week, from Myers Park coach Greg Taylor about Jeffries: "He can wear his crown all weekend." Jeffries was named homecoming king at halftime and threw a 16-yard touchdown pass with 31 seconds left to beat Ardrey Kell 21-14.

Independence's defense: Forced five turnovers (four interceptions, one fumble) in Independence's 34-10 win over Providence High.
