Conference realignment name game

Earlier this year, the N.C. High School Athletic Association announced the conference realignment plan that will go into effect next school year. In the drafts of the alignment, the conference were named with a letter and number.

Powell Latimer at the Wilmington Star News found a copy of the conference realignment buried on the NCHSAA website with some of the conferences named. But the Mecklenburg conferences are still nameless, instead going by Conference 4C, 5C and 6C.

So I started thinking about what those conferences should be called. Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments.

Conference 6C - Butler, East Mecklenburg, Garinger, Independence, Myers Park, Porter Ridge and Rocky River.

The biggest question in my mind is which conference - if any - will keep the Southwestern 4A name. This conference could argue for it since it keeps five of the eight teams from the current SW4A lineup. But this is also largely the Southeastern part of the county and includes a Union County school. Maybe UMECK, MECKU or UN-ME? (I really wanted ME-NU to work, but I think the Union County school might not like that.)

Conference 4C - Ardrey Kell, Berry Academy, Charlotte Catholic, Harding University, Olympic, Providence, South Mecklenburg and West Mecklenburg.

I think this conference is unlikely to end up as the Southwestern 4A, though it's not impossible. I could see this one bringing back the Queen City conference name, since it's the only one with all city teams. (South Meck may technically be in Pineville, but it's close.)

Conference 5C - A.L. Brown, Hopewell, Hough, Mallard Creek, North Mecklenburg, Jay M. Robinson, West Charlotte and Vance.

This obviously can't stay as the I-Meck since it lost all of the Iredell schools and added Cabarrus County schools. The obvious guess is something like ME-CA, which is what a conference similar to this was called before the last realignment put all Cabarrus County Schools in the same conference.
