West Charlotte’s boys, No. 2 in the Sweet 16, will play a hot Vance team Saturday night at Waddell. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday.

Vance, No. 8 in the Sweet 16, has won four straight games in the new year for coach Will Robinson, who recently won his 500th game.

The Cougars (12-3, 5-1 I-Meck 4A) trail the Lions (14-1, 6-0) by one game in the conference championship race. Vance, however, will play West Charlotte Saturday one day after facing No. 3 Hough in a big showdown game.

The girls poll remained exactly the same, but the boys poll underwent a big shakeup as several teams lost. Among the biggest moveers were Shelby, which jumped from No. 10 to No. 6 and Freedom, which jumped from No. 13 to No. 7.
