(June 22, 2012) - Loudoun County High School will have two new head coaches next spring as the Raiders parted ways earlier this month with long-time baseball coach Tom Lucero and boys lacrosse coach Dennis O'Hara resigns after leading the Raiders to a school-record season.
Lucero had been at the Raiders baseball helm for 15 years.
"I enjoyed coaching at County for 15 years. I worked with some wonderful young men and love every moment of watching each and every player grow into better baseball players and into men," said Lucero. "I will miss working, interacting, joking and coaching the boys at County."
Dennis O'Hara steps down from the boys lacrosse program after just one season due to his work schedule. Two years ago he stepped in and saved the Raiders JV program and last summer took over as the varsity head coach.
"He took over the program and led us to our first 10-win season in school history," said Loudoun County Athletic Director Ken Wright.
